Interdiscursividades en la serie detectivesca de Gay Flower: cine y literatura ; Aspects of interdiscursivity in the “Gay Flower” detective series: cinema and literature

Literatura criminal, humor, cine y erotismo confluyen en la serie detectivesca de Gay Flower que Pgarcía (seudónimo de José García Martínez-Calín) empezó a crear a mediados de la década del 70. El presente ensayo explora en algunos de los referentes icónicos, motivos ambientales y técnicas narrativas inspiradas en el cine que, por diversas vías, estos cuentos y novelas incorporan a la trama con el fin de homenajear y a la vez parodiar los tópicos de la ficción negra americana, así como el cine hollywoodiense de la época dorada. El resultado es un disparatado producto de entretenimiento que, impregnado de cultura popular, seduce por su carácter transgresor, pero también por su voca-ción metaliteraria, autorreferencial e interdiscursiva. ; Crime fiction, humour, cinema and eroticism merge in the «Gay Flower» detective series, which Pgarcía(pseudonym of José García Martínez-Calín) started to write in the mid-1970s. This essay explores some of the iconic references, ambient motifs and narrative techniques inspired by cine-matic conventions, which are used in these short-stories and novels both to celebrate and to parody the classic themes of the US American noir fiction and Hollywood’s Golden Age films. The out-come is a ludicrous entertainment product that charms the reader with its transgressiveness but also with its metaliterary, self-referential and interdiscursive quality.
