Factors associated to failure of the family planning ; Fatores relacionados às falhas do planejamento familiar ; Factores asociados con la falla de planeamiento familiar

Objective: to investigate through pregnant women factors related to the failure of family planning. Method: descriptive and exploratory study, quantitative approach, with 21 pregnant from a basic unit of the health where it is established a strategy of the family’s health. The criteria for participation in the study were: being pregnant, carry out pre-natal care in the basic unit of the health and reside in the area of coverage of the basic unit. The data collection occurred in April 2007, with all the pregnant women who started prenatal care from August to December 2006 with the implementation of a questionnaire. Data were organized into categories and after analyzed. Results: they were from 20 to 29 years age 42,85%, 90,47% had a partner and 47,61% pregnants do a remunerated work. As for the instruction, 52% had incomplete fundamental instruction, 66,66% of the interviewed women had not planned the gestation period. Conclusion: it was evaluated the necessity of working with women in the fertile age and their partner about familiar planning through group activities of discussion to be formed, educative activities in the schools, inside groups that had been existing yet, and individual orientations during the consultations of the nursing. Método: estudo descritivo e exploratório, de abordagem quantitativa, com 21 gestantes assistidas em uma Unidade Básica de Saúde. Os critérios para participação no estudo foram: ser gestante, realizar o pré-natal na Unidade Básica de Saúde e residir na área de abrangência da equipe de saúde da família. A coleta de dados ocorreu em abril de 2007, com todas as gestantes que iniciaram o pré-natal entre agosto a dezembro de 2006, com a aplicação de um instrumento de coleta de dados.
