نبذة مختصرة : It presents a methodological proposal for reading aimed at the 5th year of Elementary School and its main objective is to highlight the role of the school in the fight against fake news. It is based on a critical perspective of reading (SILVA, 1998, 2008) and problematizes the phenomenon of fake news (PIETROBON, 2020); CHRISTOFOLETTI (2018). It proposes the reading of two cartoons based on their compositional structure, content, and language style (BAKHTIN, 2000), with a focus on the skills proposed by the National Common Curriculum Base (BNCC). It concludes that teaching to read critically - one of the social roles of the school - is to fight against barbarism, lies and the spread of hate, present in society. ; Apresenta uma proposta metodológica de leitura voltada ao 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental e traz como objetivo principal evidenciar o papel da escola frente ao combate às fake news. Fundamenta-se em uma perspectiva crítica de leitura (SILVA, 1998, 2008) e problematiza o fenômeno das notícias falsas (PIETROBON, 2020); CHRISTOFOLETTI (2018), entre outros. Propõe a leitura de duas charges a partir de sua estrutura composicional, conteúdo e estilo de linguagem (BAKHTIN, 2000) com enfoque nas habilidades propostas pela Base nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC). Conclui que ensinar a ler de forma crítica - um dos papéis sociais da escola - é lutar contra a barbárie, a mentira e a disseminação do ódio, presentes na sociedade.
