Justifica-se a escolha do munic?pio de C?rrego Novo em Minas Gerais como objeto de estudo para desenvolvimento da presente pesquisa por motiva??es pessoais do pesquisador, pois o mesmo ? filho de agricultores residentes no munic?pio e durante a inf?ncia e adolesc?ncia ele foi agricultor no munic?pio, colaborando com o sustento da fam?lia. Para caracterizar um pa?s, regi?o, munic?pio, ou mesmo uma localidade rural, por meio da proposta metodol?gica de ADSA, os resultados obtidos s?o avaliados a partir do enfoque sist?mico, ou seja, partindo do geral para o particular. Como resultado foi poss?vel identificar que o munic?pio de C?rrego Novo, MG possui pelo menos quatro tipologias de agricultores (tipo A, B, C, D), e que a maior parte dos estabelecimentos agr?colas do munic?pio envolvem pequenas propriedade de agricultores familiares. A principal atividade agropecu?ria no munic?pio ? a produ??o de leite, por?m observa-se uma diversifica??o produtiva na maior parte das propriedades pesquisadas. No que tange a pol?tica p?blica, acessada pelos agricultores, em especial, identificou-se na pesquisa que o principal instrumento de cr?dito rural ? o Programa Nacional de Fortalecimento da Agricultura Familiar (PRONAF) e no campo social ? o Programa Bolsa Fam?lia, fato que pode ser relacionado com a baixa renda das fam?lias rurais na regi?o estudada. Percebeu-se, no decorrer da pesquisa, que ? necess?rio a implementa??o de pol?ticas p?blicas voltadas ao fortalecimento da agricultura familiar do munic?pio. Foi constatado que os principais produtos agr?colas produzidos no munic?pio, al?m do leite, envolvem o arroz, feij?o, milho, banana, rapadura, mandioca e hortali?as. Por fim, constata-se que os agricultores do munic?pio de C?rrego Novo, MG precisam mobilizar-se no sentido de incentivar uma organiza??o coletiva para fortalecer as estrat?gias produtivas, a fim de buscarem mercados locais e regionais para amplia??o das oportunidades de renda e qualidade de vida no campo. The present study aims to analyze and understand the productive strategies, in view of the potential and limits of local agroecosystems, as well as the public policies accessed by family farmers in the municipality of C?rrego Novo/MG, using the Diagnostic Analysis method Agrarian Systems (ADSA). The choice of the municipality of C?rrego Novo in Minas Gerais is justified as an object of study for the development of this research due to the researcher's personal motivations, as he is the son of farmers residing in the municipality and during his childhood and adolescence he was a farmer in the municipality, collaborating with the support of the family. To characterize a country, region, municipality, or even a rural location, through the methodological proposal of ADSA, the results obtained are evaluated from the systemic approach, that is, from the general to the particular. As a result, it was possible to identify that the municipality of C?rrego Novo, MG has at least four types of farmers (type A, B, C, D), and that most agricultural establishments in the municipality involve small holdings of family farmers. The main agricultural activity in the municipality is milk production, however there is a productive diversification in most of the surveyed properties. With regard to public policy, accessed by farmers, in particular, it was identified in the survey that the main rural credit instrument is the National Program for Strengthening Family Agriculture (PRONAF) and in the social field it is the Bolsa family Program, a fact that may be related to the low income of rural families in the studied region. It was noticed during the research that it is necessary to implement public policies aimed at strengthening family farming in the municipality. It was found that the main agricultural products produced in the municipality, in addition to milk, involve rice, beans, corn, bananas, rapadura, cassava and vegetables. Finally, it appears that farmers in the municipality of C?rrego Novo, MG need to mobilize in order to encourage a collective organization to strengthen production strategies, in order to seek local and regional markets to expand income opportunities and quality of life country life.
