IMPLICAÇÕES DA METACOGNIÇÃO NO PROCESSO DE APRENDIZAGEM DA MATEMÁTICA. METACOGNITION IMPLICATIONS ON THE LEARNING PROCESS OF MATHEMATICS

Este artigo discorre sobre o tema metacognição a partir da identificação e discussão de diferentes definições encontradas na literatura. Tem por objetivo apresentar implicações identificadas por diferentes autores entre metacognição e aprendizagem, e mais especificamente entre metacognição e aprendizagem da matemática. Nesse sentido, trata-se de uma revisão de literatura, construída como parte da fundamentação teórica de uma pesquisa de mestrado realizada no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso. Metodologicamente, o estudo caracteriza-se como exploratório e bibliográfico. Cabe ressaltar, que embora alguns autores tenham apontado para a importância da metacognição na aprendizagem, tal mecanismo ainda é pouco conhecido e consequentemente pouco explorado principalmente no campo da Educação Matemática. Acredita-se que esses apontamentos podem contribuir nas discussões concernentes ao processo de aprendizagem da matemática.This article discusses the topic of metacognition from identification and discussion of different definitions found in the literature. It aims to present implications identified by different authors between metacognition and learning, and more specifically between metacognition and learning of mathematics. In this sense, it is a literature review, built as part of the theoretical basis of a Master thesis held in the Post Graduate Program in Education of the Federal University of Mato Grosso. Methodologically, the study is characterized as exploratory and bibliographic. It is noteworthy that although some authors have pointed to the importance of metacognition in learning, such a mechanism is still unclear and therefore little explored mainly in the field of mathematics education. It is believed that these notes may help in discussions concerning the process of learning mathematics.
