      La presente tesis por compendio se centrará, por un lado, en analizar y comprender el impacto de la educomunicación en la educación universitaria en el contexto de la transición hacia la educación en línea durante la pandemia de COVID-19 y, por otro lado, en entender cuál es la situación actual en este proceso y qué líneas de actuación pueden llevarse a cabo desde las universidades. De este modo, en este estudio tratamos de conocer la preparación en términos de alfabetización mediática y competencia instrumental (en el momento del confinamiento) de los docentes y estudiantes universitarios en España, cómo han actuado, cuáles han sido las principales dificultades encontradas, así como la actuación en términos comunicativos de las instituciones universitarias. Finalmente, y de la mano de expertos, se estableen los problemas y desafíos actuales y se plantean estrategias concretas para impulsar la educomunicación y la alfabetización mediática desde nuestro sistema universitario.
      This thesis by compendium will focus, on the one hand, on analysing and understanding the impact of educommunication in university education in the context of the transition towards online education during the COVID-19 pandemic and, on the other hand, on understanding what the current situation is in this process and what lines of action can be carried out from the universities. Thus, in this study we try to find out the preparation in terms of media literacy and instrumental competence (at the time of confinement) of university teachers and students in Spain, how they have acted, what have been the main difficulties encountered, as well as the action in communicative terms of the university institutions. Finally, and with the help of experts, the current problems and challenges are established and specific strategies are proposed to promote educommunication and media literacy in our university system.
