Il tesoretto di Taurasi e il fenomeno della tesaurizzazione alla fine della guerra greco-gotica

L’article propose l’analyse préliminaire d’un trésor de nummi de bronze du milieu du vie siècle apr. J.-C. découvert à Tarausi (Campanie, Italie du Sud). À cette époque, la Campanie semble connaître un phénomène de thésaurisation, en particulier de ces petites dénominations en bronze. L’article tente de relier la localisation et la composition de divers trésors aux événements militaires qui ont affecté la région à la fin du conflit gréco-gothique en se fondant notamment sur les écrits d’Agathias qui prolongent le récit de Procope de Césarée.
The article offers a preliminary analysis of a hoard of bronze nummi from the middle of the 6th century found in Tarausi (Campania, Southern Italy). At the time, Campania seems to have experienced a phenomenon of hoarding of these small bronze denominations. The article endeavours to link various hoards with the military events affecting the area at the end of the Gothic wars as described in the works of Agathias who continued Procopius’ narrative.
