47. The method according to claim 46, wherein the allergy is a type I allergy.

48. The method according to claim 46, wherein the allergy is hay fever, allergic rhinitis, bronchial asthma, urticaria, allergic conjunctivitis, a food allergy, anaphylactic shock, or a drug allergy.

49. The method according to claim 46, wherein a content of α-linolenic acid in fatty acids constituting the diacylglycerol is 40 mass % or more.
- Claim:

A method for suppressing IgE production, comprising administering or applying, to a subject, a fat or oil in which a content of α-linolenic acid in fatty acids constituting the fat or oil is 40 mass % or more, and a content of diacylglycerol is 25 mass % or more, is administered or applied to a subject.

51. The method according to claim 50, wherein the IgE production is allergen-specific IgE production.

53. A method for suppressing Th2 cell response induced by allergen exposure, comprising administering or applying, to a subject, a fat or oil in which a content of α-linolenic acid in fatty acids constituting the fat or oil is 40 mass % or more, and a content of diacylglycerol is 25 mass % or more.
