A material suitable for reconstitution and injection into skin as a dermal filler, the material made by the process of: providing a gel comprising crosslinked hyaluronic acid and at least one additive; lyophilizing the gel to obtain a dry gel suitable for reconstitution; wherein the additive remains stable in the dry gel.
