Competencias docentes para el uso de tecnologías de información y comunicación en educación media general

The technological competences of the teacher affect the development of information and communication technologies as a pedagogical mechanism, however, there is a lack of interest in training, resistance to developing logical-analytical thinking skills required when interacting with computerized environments, which increases creative capacity and performance in their pedagogical action. Thus, the purpose of this research was to determine the teaching skills for the use of information and communication technologies. The methodology was descriptive, field, with a transectional, non-experimental design. A census sample represented by 87 educators from Medium Educational Units is used, to whom a structured questionnaire with four response alternatives was applied. It was evidenced that only a little more than half of the teachers use technological tools to search for information on their class topics, but the majority use the Internet to acquire information and present it to their students through technological means. It is concluded that success is subject in a relevant way to the attitudes of educators, and although they are competent in information and communication technologies and have a positive attitude towards them, it is usual that they fail to adequately incorporate them into their pedagogical activities.
Las competencias tecnológicas del docente inciden en el desarrollo de las tecnologías de información y comunicación como mecanismo pedagógico, sin embargo, existe desinterés hacia la capacitación, resistencia a desarrollar habilidades de pensamiento lógico-analítico requerido al interaccionar con ambientes informatizados, que incremente la capacidad creativa, y el desempeño en su acción pedagógica. Así, la finalidad de esta investigación fue determinar las competencias docentes para el uso de las tecnologías de información y comunicación. La metodología fue descriptiva, de campo, con diseño transeccional, no experimental. Se utiliza una muestra censal representada por 87 educadores, de Unidades Educativas Media, a los cuales se le aplicó un cuestionario estructurado con cuatro alternativas de respuestas. Se evidenció que solo un poco más de la mitad de los docentes utiliza herramientas tecnológicas para buscar información sobre sus temas de clases, pero la mayoría utiliza internet para adquirir información y la presenta a sus estudiantes a través de medios tecnológicos. Se concluye que el triunfo está sujeto de forma relevante a las actitudes de los educadores, y aunque éstos sean competentes en las tecnologías de información y comunicación y posean una actitud positiva hacia estas, es usual que no consigan incorporarlas adecuadamente a sus actividades pedagógicas.
