É possível guaranizar a universidade? Reflexões iniciais sobre Antropologia e a presença dos estudantes indígenas na UEMS em Amambai (MS)

In this text, I present some initial reflections motivated by my recent experience of teaching Anthropology in the Social Sciences undergraduate course at the Amambai campus of the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS). Through ethnographic data about cultural and historical transformations experienced by kaiowá and guarani families, I intend to articulate them with the indigenous movements towards an intercultural school education policy and its effects on increasing kaiowá and guarani students presence in higher education.
Neste texto apresento reflexões iniciais motivadas pela minha recente experiência de ensino de Antropologia no curso de graduação em Ciências Sociais no campus de Amambai, da Universidade Estadual de Mato Grosso do Sul. Por meio de dados etnográficos a respeito das transformações culturais e históricas vivenciadas pelas famílias kaiowá e guarani, procuro articulá-los aos movimentos indígenas por uma política de educação escolar intercultural e seus efeitos em relação ao aumento da presença de estudantes kaiowá e guarani no ensino superior.
