"This oil painting presents a map and brief chronological narrative tracing the development of the “New York School” of modernism and its transition to the contemporary state of cultural industry production beginning with the Hans Hofmann School of Painting in 1932 to the founding of Larry Gagosian’s gallery in SoHo in 1989. The title is a reference to the exhibition organized by Alan Kaprow “18 Happenings in 6 Parts” that was presented at the Reuben Gallery in 1959." (Loren Munk, 2023)
