      There are important Turcologists in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, which is located in the north-western People's Republic of China. Major scholars such as Mahmud AlKashgari and Yusuf Has Hacib were from this region, as well as Mirsultan Osman, an important Turkologist who was raised in these holy lands. This article will focus on the life story, contributions to Turcology and works of Mirsultan Osman, who passed away on December 1, 2017.
