نبذة مختصرة : This paper discusses socio-educational practices inscribed in the work and political resistance experiences of two Afro-Brazilian communities in the Amazon region of Pará (Brazil). It aims to discuss political-pedagogical processes that guide the ambience of these labor and struggle experiences. These processes situate actions of resistance on the defense of their ancestral territories and reaffirmation of anti-racist practices. Through participatory action-research, socio-environmental diagnosis and local-needs-oriented training activities were performed. The discussion is based on Brandão (2002), Arroyo (2012), Silva et al. (2014), Santos (2004). The results indicate that the social mobilization and organization of these communities are related to the defense of Afro-Brasilian (quilombola) territories, the reproduction of existence, and the continuity of their labor practices.
