نبذة مختصرة : This study is based on a critical, historical, poetic, and political analysis of cases of body artists from Paraíba and Pernambuco who in 2018 suffered some kind of violence while performing in public spaces. To do this, the principles of documentary analysis and case studies were brought together to build methodological tools to interview and reflect on the experiences of two artists. These two artists have been working in the field of performance in public spaces since 2018 and have been raped during their poetic actions. Thus, guided by a contextualization of the field of performance in its historical and transgressive dimensions, the cases of the artists who were raped were analyzed by the author, who sometimes puts himself in the first person, in an attentive and ethical manner. With this, we sought to understand the crossings of the conservative system, through the rise of Bolsonarism towards the poetics of the body, as well as the authoritarian strategies of persecution in contemporary times. Thus, we can see that this historical project of persecution of the arts, which occupy public spaces, confronts the right to freedom and destabilizes democratic structures, through blows to affected art makers, beyond the narratives addressed in their works
