In Classical literature, it is evident that everyone from the king to the citizens renders their service as the planners of a model society. There, women act in various roles like mother, daughter, friend, queen, poet, etc. All women have planned and worked well to fulfill their needs. They are advanced thinkers in family management and business. Avvaiyar, a woman poet, has improved human resources in Sangam times by planning and writing songs. Any action should be executed after planning. An unplanned action cannot necessarily succeed and it will end only in failure. Madurai was set on fire by the curse of Kannagi because the Pandya king gave judgment to Kovalan without Planning. Therefore, whether it is family administration or government administration, we must first plan in speech and action and then to implement it. The contemporary scholar’s views on planning are consistent with reference to classical literature. Hence, this article examines the planning skills of women as seen in classical literature.
