      The article carries out a reflection focused on the relation between cultural aspects and Social Work, on the basis of the Argentinean experience and of the category of empowerment as that which makes possible the definition of a professional intervention in diversity. In this sense, the paper organizes concepts and arguments in order to understand the processes that are being generated by cultural diversity and how they are interpreted by Social Work.
