Analysis of the potential multiple impact of the Centro de Gestión Empresarial Mariano (CEGEM), (Marian Center for Business Management) in Pasto ; Análisis de los posibles impactos del Centro de Gestión Empresarial Mariano - CEGEM, en la ciudad de Pasto

This article presents a review of the multiple potential impact of the establishment of the Centro de Gestión Empresarial Mariano, CEGEM [Mariano Center for Business Management] in Pasto, Nariño, on a social and economic level. It begins with a discussion of the concept of development economics, which is defined as a set of public and private practices that foster economic development in a region, a country or, as in this case, in the city of Pasto, thus favoring the desire to invest, innovate, launch, receive training, and work. The purpose is to gather a critical mass of production factors to initiate sufficient economic growth to bring about, in particular, noticeable improvement of the quality of life of the region involved. This not only involves an increase in the per capita income and a reduction of poverty in southern region of Colombia, but also encompasses the following legitimate goals: better education, an improved level of health and nutrition, less poverty, a cleaner environment, greater equality of opportunities, more personal freedom, and a more fruitful cultural life. Consequently, this study of business development associated with the establishment of the CEGEM provides an analysis of the social and economic impact in order to determine the impact of the creation of this center. ; Este artículo presenta un análisis de los posibles impactos, en lo social y en lo económico, con la puesta en marcha del Centro de Gestión Empresarial Mariano – CEGEM, de Pasto, el cual parte del concepto de la economía del desarrollo que es el conjunto de prácticas públicas y privadas que promueven el desarrollo económico de un país o de una región, en este caso de la ciudad de Pasto, favoreciendo la propensión a invertir, innovar, emprender, formarse y trabajar el objetivo es reunir una masa crítica de factores de producción para iniciar un crecimiento económico suficiente que aporte en especial, una mejora sensible al nivel de vida de la zona en cuestión.
