نبذة مختصرة : The objective was to investigate how low-intensity laser therapy is used in the treatment of chronic wounds. This is an integrative review with searches carried out in the Virtual Health Library, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, Nursing Specific Database, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, PubMed – U.S. National Library of Medicine and Science Direct Online, Scientific Electronic Library Online. Data collection was carried out in the months of October and November 2023, to collect the articles the uncontrolled descriptors “Laserterapia AND Lesões” were used, with the exception of Medline which used the terms “Lasetherapy AND Wounds” and in SCOPUS which also “Laser therapy AND lesions OR wounds” was used. The search resulted in three thousand one hundred and twenty-three articles, in the end the sample resulted in nine articles, eight of which were national publications published in journals in the area of nursing, medical specialties and in archives of higher education institutions. This research contributes to the scientific community by providing information to healthcare professionals, patients, and specific researchers on innovative therapeutic approaches for chronic injuries. As progress is made in understanding the results caused by different laser therapy settings, it will be possible to open doors to clinical practice based on scientific evidence and an improvement in the quality of life of those suffering from chronic injuries. ; Objetivou-se investigar como a laserterapia de baixa intensidade é utilizado no tratamento de feridas crônicas.
