Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is the most common sexually transmitted infection. Cervical cancer (CC) is the most common HPV-related cancer. It is a preventable cancer thanks to two complementary interventions: screening and HPV vaccination. Vaccination coverage remains low in France, due to vaccine hesitancy. This work was presented in four parts. The first concerned the history of HPV vaccination through publications. This was achieved through bibliometric analysis, highlighting the paucity of French studies. The second was to understand the French situation by means of a netnography on the Doctissimo forum, a qualitative analysis of general practitioners and a quantitative study of health students. All these elements led to the third part, which was to find out how to act. A study using the discrete choice method was carried out to identify optimal statements concerning a vaccination program. A review of the literature on school-based interventions and on decision aids tools in the field of vaccination was also carried out. These data were used to co-construct interventions as part of the PrevHPV research project (part 4), a multi-component intervention involving adolescents, parents of adolescents, general practitioners and the school environment (including vaccination at school). The results of this study will be useful for understanding efficient interventions on HPV vaccination coverage.
