نبذة مختصرة : This article addresses the challenges and possibilities for promoting racial equality in education, with a focus on black students. Recognizing the importance of the school in building a more equitable society, the text explores the advances achieved through laws and public policies. Despite the progress, challenges still persist, such as the punctual approach to the ethnic and "racial" theme in the institutions and the lack of representation for black children in Early Childhood Education. We aim to stimulate critical reflections on educational inequalities and structural racism, based on the critical theory of Theodor Adorno and Frantz Fanon. We also seek to promote an inclusive and equitable education, valuing the cultural diversity of Brazil and overcoming stigmas and deep-seated prejudices. The results indicate that to build an anti-racist and inclusive education, it is necessary to train education professionals, promote an inclusive curriculum and value cultural diversity from childhood. We conclude that the participation of social movements is fundamental in this process and overcoming the challenges requires the engagement of the whole society, aiming at a more just and egalitarian society, in which education is a tool of emancipation and transformation. ; Este artículo aborda los desafíos y las posibilidades para promover la igualdad racial en la educación, con un enfoque en los estudiantes negros. Reconociendo la importancia de la escuela en la construcción de una sociedad más equitativa, el texto explora los avances logrados a través de leyes y políticas públicas.
