نبذة مختصرة : Secondary education was reformed in Brazil through Provisional Measure No. 746/2016, converted into Law No. 13.415/2017. The reform, currently being implemented, impacted – and continues to impact – not only secondary education, but also several educational policies. In this context, in this work, we aim to analyze the position of the Brazilian Society of Mathematics Education (SBEM) on the reform based on documents published on the institution’s website. Theoretical references on the reform of High School were constituted by authors critical of this reformulation, such as: Piolli and Sala (2021) and Corrêa and Garcia (2018). The research has a qualitative approach, of the documentary type. The collection of documents was carried out on the SBEM website, considering the month of publication of MP No. 746/2016, September/2016, until March 2021. For the analysis, we organized the material and read it according to content analysis criteria. Our results showed that the Society takes a stand against the reform. However, coupled with critical thinking, we noticed, in recent documents, signs of adequacy and contributions to the implementation of the reform. This work can stimulate new discussions and reflections on the reform and its impacts on the formation of our youth. Keywords: SBEM. High School Reform.
