      This study analyzed the scientific production on Environmental Education and the teaching of Chemistry published in five Brazilian journals specialized in the subject, during the period from 2016 to 2021. It is a theoretical survey, of the state of knowledge type, descriptive and exploratory, with qualitative approach. In all, 24 articles were selected. In addition to the quantitative panorama of the published articles, the analysis considered the following aspects: basic authors, approached concepts, involved public, objective of the study and methodological action used. The most recurrent authors in the texts were: Sauvé (2000, 2005); Reigota (1995, 1999, 2009); Loureiro (2004, 2006, 2007, 2012, 2019) and Jacobi (2013). It was also verified that the subjects present were: Environmental Education, sustainability, biodiversity and socio-environmental themes. The public involved in most of the studies were high school students. Practical activities, field visits and research were the methodological actions highlighted. In summary, this survey made it possible to learn about investigations carried out on the subject and thus design future research in order to expand knowledge of the area. ; Este estudio analizó la producción científica sobre Educación Ambiental y la enseñanza de la Química publicada en cinco revistas brasileñas especializadas en el tema, durante el período de 2016 a 2021. Se trata de un levantamiento teórico, del tipo estado del conocimiento, descriptivo y exploratorio, con enfoque cualitativo. En total, se seleccionaron 24 artículos. Además del panorama cuantitativo de los artículos publicados, el análisis consideró los siguientes aspectos: autores básicos, conceptos abordados, público involucrado, objetivo del estudio y acción metodológica utilizada. Los autores más recurrentes en los textos fueron: Sauvé (2000, 2005); Reigota (1995, 1999, 2009); Loureiro (2004, 2006, 2007, 2012, 2019) y Jacobi (2013).
