O papel do enfermeiro no tratamento de lesões por pressão em pacientes idosos acamados

Pressure injuries in bedridden elderly patients require greater attention due to the fact that the current scenario shows a high rate of these in hospital institutions, which requires nurses' knowledge for proper treatment. Objective: To highlight the importance of the professional nurse in the identification and autonomy in the treatment of pressure injuries. Methodology: For this study, the narrative review technique was used because it is able to gather research with different methods, its final product being the current state of knowledge. The inclusion criteria characterized the period from 2016 to 2019, where those mentioned above were selected, and the rest, in a total of 15 articles, did not contemplate the specificity of the proposed theme, thus configuring their exclusion. Conclusion: There are several factors that interfere with the improvement of the knowledge of nursing in the treatment of pressure injuries, showing the need for training and specific training in the dermatological area, as well as encouraging the structuring of centers for prevention and treatment of injuries in hospital institutions, ensuring the evaluation and continuous monitoring of bedridden elderly patients, with a predisposition to develop pressure injuries. ; A pele é o maior órgão do corpo humano e tem como funções revestir, delimitar, proteger e interagir com o meio exterior.
