نبذة مختصرة : This Master's Dissertation is linked to the Memory Culture and Society Research Line of the Graduate Program in Physical Education, Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), and has as its study theme the Continuing Education of supervisor teachers participating in the Institutional Scholarship Program ntroduction to Teaching (PIBID). We seek to investigate how to organize the participation of Physical Education teachers in PIBID subprojects proposed by the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) Centre for Physical Education and Sport (CEFD) and the College of Physical Education of the Federal University of Pampa (UNIPAMPA) and if such participation constitutes itself, in fact, as Continuing Education from the perspective of the supervising teachers. For its accomplishment we have use documentary and descriptive exploratory research. As a methodological apparatus we employ semistructured interviews as a way of approaching and understanding the concrete and lived experiences. To address the research objective, we selected five supervisors teachers, three from the city of Santa Maria/RS and two from Uruguaiana/RS. At theend of the survey, we found that since its creation in 2007 until today, the PIBID underwent several modifications, enabling its consolidation and expansion in the country, mainly from its addendum on LDB 9.394/1996. Although, the official documents of PIBID do not clearly express on Continuing Education for supervising teachers, in the projects, subprojects and selection notices of investigated institutions and different Higher Education Institutions (IES) in the country, specific items are found that relate this participation with the time and space of Continuing Education. Empirical evidence shows that from the entry in PIBID, respondents began to develop numerous educational activities in schools, university, and academic events in different IES.
