نبذة مختصرة : Introduction. The primordial competence of the frontal lobe is the executive function that makes possible that human beings may program, develop, sequence, execute and supervise any action that has a goal allowing the control of the attention. These executive functions are related with the academic performance, but also with the reading process. Goal. The present project focuses on the study of the relationships between the executive functions, the reading process and the academic performance of 5ºEPO students (Spanish educational system). Methodology. In order to evaluate this relationship it has been used two psychometric tests: DST-J (Fawcet and Nicolson, 2016) and ENFEN (Portellano, Martínez and Zumárraga, 2009). The data about the academic performance has been obtained by the marks of the same term as the sample takes. Results. The obtained results show that there is no relationship between the three variables, proving that with a minor risk in dysfunction on the reading process, a greater maturity of the executive functions and also a better school performance. Conclusions. We tailor a three-month-duration neuropsychological intervention to apply in the group-class in order to reinforce the reading process and executive functions of the students with no disorder, students with dyslexia and students with ADHD, given that the results show a lack of maturity in cognitive flexibility of the sample and in a 40% of the students with dyslexia between mild, medium or severe. ; Introducción.
