“Arquitexture”: Temples of being by Eduardo Scala ; “Arquitexturas”: los templos del ser de Eduardo Scala

In the field of Interart Studies, the relationship between architecture and poetry has been little studied. The poet Eduardo Scala has raised the issue of the architectural dimension of writing —“arquitexture”— in some works that make up the series POETRY-aRQUITECTURE. One of the aforementioned works within that series, Templos (2007), stands out above the rest: It consists of eight poems about eight artist and poets, the “profane saints”, which acquire volume through the papercraft technique applied by Pedro Núñez. In this way, Scala highlights the religious nature of Japanese origami and its poetic-mystical code called “sacrograma”. ; En el ámbito de los estudios interartísticos, la correspondencia entre arquitectura y poesía ha sido poco estudiada. El poeta Eduardo Scala ha planteado la dimensión arquitectónica de la escritura —“arquitextura”— en algunas obras que componen la serie POESIaRQUITECTURA. En este conjunto, destaca Templos (2007), ocho poemas sobre ocho artistas y poetas, “santos profanos”, que adquieren volumen mediante la técnica papirofléxica aplicada por Pedro Núñez. De este modo, Scala pondera la naturaleza religiosa del origami japonés para su código poético-místico denominado “sacrograma”.
