نبذة مختصرة : (Pollination and dispersal syndromes of native plant species used by traditional communities of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park). This study aimed to describe the reproductive attributes and the pollination and dispersal syndromes of native plant species that are used as food and medicine by traditional communities of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park (LMNP). The observations and collections of flowers and fruits of the species were carried out fortnightly, between August 2018 and June 2019. A total of 40 plant species were characterized, the most representative families being Fabaceae and Myrtaceae. The most frequent floral attributes were brush-shaped flowers (25%), disc (22.5%) and tube (22.5%), small flowers (60%) and light colored, including white, greenish, beige and cream (57.5%). Most of the flowers presented odor (82.5%) and the hermaphroditism system (82.5%). The predominant pollination and dispersion syndromes were melitophilia (52.5%) and zoochory (77.5%). These reproductive strategies represent an important pattern for the species popularly used by traditional LMNP communities, and there is, therefore, a greater need for conservation.
