Recurso Electrónico ; La investigación presenta una propuesta didáctica para la enseñanza de la resolución de problemas aritméticos en el grado quinto de Educación Básica Primaria, basada en los planteamientos teóricos de Duval, (1995) sobre el uso de representaciones semióticas y su relación con las técnicas de modelación gráfica expuestas por Luis Campistrous. En el estudio se encontró que el cambio de registro de representación semiótica constituye una importante intermediación didáctica, que estimula el desarrollo de los pensamientos lógico y simbólico a nivel escolar, permitiendo la transformación del enunciado de un problema en expresiones literales, números, diagramas y gráficos, que hacen visibles las relaciones entre el significado y el efecto de las operaciones aritméticas presentes en la situación problémica. Palabras Claves: Solución de problemas, representación semiótica, modelación gráfica, guía metodológica ; The research presents a didactic proposal for the teaching of solving arithmetic problems in the fifth grade of Basic Primary Education, based on the theoretical approaches of Duval, (2017) on the use of semiotic representations and their relationship with the graphic modeling techniques exposed by Luis Campistrous. In the study it was found that the change of register of semiotic representation constitutes an important didactic intermediation, that stimulates the development of the logical and symbolic thoughts at the school level, allowing the transformation of the statement of a problem in literal expressions, numbers, diagrams and graphs, that make visible the relations between the meaning and the effect of the arithmetical operations present in the problematic situation.
