نبذة مختصرة : U teoretskom dijelu ovog rada obrađeni su požari raslinja na otvorenom prostoru, s posebnim naglaskom na priobalni dio Republike Hrvatske koji je zbog svojih vegetacijskih, klimatskih, ali i topografskih čimbenika vrlo pogodan za njihov nastanak i razvoj. Također, obrađeni su taktički nastupi i metode koje koriste vatrogasne snage pri gašenju takvih požara, kao i poteškoće s kojima se susreću pri takvim intervencijama. U praktičnom dijelu rada analiziran je poţar koji je izbio 24.7.2007. na području općine Primošten, u blizini naselja Podgreben. Ovaj požar je bio jedan od najvećih i najopasnijih požara na području županije Šibensko-kninske ikada, i ukazao je na brojne nedostatke cjelokupnog sustava zaštite od požara na ovom području. Kroz analizu istaknuta su i određena poboljšanja koja su učinjena u razdoblju od nastanka požara, ali i nedostatci koji se ni u ovih više od deset godina nisu uspjeli otkloniti. ; In theoretic part of this thesis, vegetation fires has been processed, with special emphasis on coastal area in Republic of Croatia, which is due to it's vegetational, climatic and also topographical factors very suitable for their emergnece and development. Also, there are processed tactical performances and methods that are used by firefighting crews at extinguishing that kind of fires, and the difficulties they face during that type of intervention. In the practical part of the work, a fire that happened on July 24th,2007 near the Podgreben estate, which is located in municipality of Primošten was analyzed. This fire was one of the largest and most dangerous fires in Šibensko-kninska county area ever, and that fire pointed on big amount of disadvantages in entire system of fire prevention in this area. Through analysis, there are pointed certain improvements that have been done since this fire, but also all disadvantages that have not been changed in more than last ten years.
