Medicalização da educação: um processo sociocultural disciplinador

The present Final Course Project aims to analyze how the disciplinization of the Modern School is linked to the production of non-learning disorders and, consequently, fuels the medicalizing culture in Basic Education Institutions. In this sense, distancing it from its social function in the face of the comprehensive development of students. The methodology employed is a qualitative research of a critical nature in the field of Educational Psychology, often referred to as School Psychology from a critical perspective. This approach seeks to analyze the disciplining process expressed by the medicalization of society, investigated through the Foucauldian biopolitics. It’s based on a bibliographic research on the historical construction of learning disorders, it is identified that with the increasingly assertive medicalization of society and neoliberalism gaining more power in common sense, the disciplinization of education sets limits on the potential of school spaces in the face of non-learning disorders, leading to a distancing between the school's social function and the process of qualified learning. ; Este Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso tem por objetivo analisar como a disciplinarização da Escola Moderna está atrelada à produção das doenças do não-aprender e, por consequência, alimenta a cultura medicalizante nas instituições de ensino da Educação Básica. Nesse sentido, afastando-a de sua função social frente ao desenvolvimento pleno dos discentes. Para isso, utiliza se como metodologia uma pesquisa qualitativa de caráter crítico no campo da Psicologia da Educação, frequentemente denominadas de Psicologia Escolar de perspectiva crítica, para analisar o processo disciplinador expresso pela medicalização da sociedade é investigado a partir da biopolítica foucaultiana.
