To evaluate physicians satisfaction with the CME courses organised by Lithuanian University of Health Sciences and their opinion about its administration. Methods: The survey was carried out in Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kauno klinikos form September to December, 2019. 215 questionnaire forms were distributed to physicians, 178 forms were correctly filled and returned. Response rate – 82,8%. MS Excel 2013 and SPSS 26 programs were used to analyze statistics data. Results were considered statistically significant when p<0.05. Results: Physicians are mostly motivated to participate in professional development courses by educational factors, as well as the opportunity to share work experience with colleagues from other health care institutions. Only 15.7 % health care professionals attended courses due to missing hours for license renewal. 75.5% of respondents agreed that mandatory professional development is encouraged and supported by their employers. 20.2% doctors participated in the CME courses at the initiative of their health care institutions. The majority of physicians were satisfied with the content, organization and administration of the courses. 97.2% of respondents indicated that they would participate in other CME courses organized by Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. Conclusions: Physicians are most motivated to undertake training activities to maintain, update or develop their knowledge, skills and attitudes towards their professional practice.
