Islam and the Albanian Political Unity Regardless of Religion, Provenance or Ethnography ; Islami dhe uniteti politik shqiptar pa dallim feje e krahine etnografike

According to the vast majority of the (nation) theorists the key components of the nation are the independent, ethnic, political groups with common cultural heritage and shared worldviews, or the existence of a particular group in a single sphere. The birth, life, blood relations, language, tradition, faith, customs, culture, development and work within a given natural and geographical circle creates the greatest unity and homogeneity of tribal solidarity among the individuals belonging to a family and nation. As far as the Islamic religion and its fundamental resources are concerned, they allow the cultivation and development of national feelings, such as love for the homeland, the nation, the family, but to such an extent that these feelings are not opposed to the highest human conviction. But the vision of the Islamic religion is not only confined to specific borders and races, tribes and peoples, cultures and traditions, but its goal is universal unity. Based on the principles of Islam, the Albanian Ulama (scholars) and Albanian Muslims have made a valuable contribution to the preservation of Albanian national culture and tradition, to the preservation of Albanian political unity, regardless of religion, and to the cultivation of tolerance among religions for the best interest of the national cause.
