نبذة مختصرة : This work aims to analyze the intertextual relations between the novel Mrs. Dalloway (1925) by Virginia Woolf and The Hours (1998) by the Pulitzer Award-winning Michael Cunningham, from the marks of ephemerality in both texts. The theoretical background for this investigation relies on the concepts of intertextuality and adaptation. The conclusion indicates that ephemerality is a shared nuance emphasized in The Hours, with elements like flowers, waves, and kisses, becoming an essential intertextuality trait between the novels, yet not as studied as other aspects like, for example, the mirroring of characters or the matter of homosexuality.
