International audience ; In a historical period marked by change and transformation, the resistance of an entity, its conservation, but also the acceptance of its death, seem to be notions that need to be taken into consideration in the face of the ephemerality, assumed or suffered, of certain works. By asking whether the ephemeral can become eternal, we would like to question the temporality of a creation as well as the symbolic or physical death of a work or a contested object.Do works of art die? Is what is no longer visible necessarily dead? How does the ephemeral become eternal?Juliette Delecour will present her research into the integration of olfactory works into the collections of a number of institutions, addressing the issues of conservation and archiving in the face of their fragile and ephemeral materiality.
