      This interview is with Omayya Saigal, an educator and aspiring speech therapist. Omayya discusses growing up in small town Eagle Pass outside of any Muslim community, then moving to San Antonio and joining the Muslim community there. She talks about her understanding of the “model minority” impulse and the pressure for Muslims in the US to act as representatives of Islam.
