FILOSOFIA CRÍTICA E GEOGRAFIA EM IMMANUEL KANT

Immanuel Kant (1724-1804), filósofo que ficou conhecido em maior medida pelas suas três obras maiores denominadas de críticas, a Crítica da Razão Pura (1781A/1787B); a Crítica da Razão Prática (1788) e a Crítica da Faculdade de Julgar (1790), é também o filósofo que, antes que a cátedra de geografia fosse criada em 1820 em Berlim, lecionou de 1756 a 1796 um curso de geografiana universidade de Königsberg, ou seja, do início de sua carreira docente até o final. A geografia, portanto, passa por todas as fases de desenvolvimento de docência acadêmica e do seu pensamento filosófico. O presente texto tem por objetivo central analisar algumas das relações entre filosofia e a geografia no pensamento de Kant, observando as dificuldades encontradas para ensinar a geografia bem como da importância dada a esta por Kant, tendo em vista ter sido a geografia o terceiro conhecimento mais ensinado por Kant ao longo de seus 40 anos de docência.Palavras-chave: Geografia; Filosofia crítica; Conhecimento do mundo; Esclarecimento.CRITICAL PHILOSOPHY AND GEOGRAPHY IN IMMANUEL KANTAbstractImmanuel Kant (1724-1804) is a philosopher known to a greater extent by its three main works called Critiques: the Critique of Pure Reason (1781A/1787B), the Critique of Practical Reason (1788) and the Critique of the Judgment (1790); he is also the philosopher who, before the Geography Chair was created in 1820 in Berlin, taught, throughout his academic career (1756-1796), a geographycourse at the University of Königsberg. Geography, therefore, goes through all phases of kantian thought. It extends both through the development of Kant's academic teaching and the development of his philosophy.
