Constitutive element of the Hip-Hop culture, Rap music narrates the real, the problems, and the anxiety of most periphery youth, whiling to be a pedagogical agent in the construction of perceptions of place, denunciations of social ills, and also as an aesthetic concept of freedom, that through urban art creates a unique identity that brings belonging and self-esteem to a generation historically attributed to negative values mainly to working-class youngs. Thus, this article will make a historical analysis through the formation of these young and the construction of Hip-Hop, concluding with the necessary insertion of the art as a language and dialogic element in the construction of knowledge. ; O presente artigo propõe trazer a relevância da cultura Hip-Hop como parte constituinte das manifestações artísticas que buscam através da educação transformar a realidade dos estudantes no âmbito escolar. Elemento constitutivo da cultura Hip-Hop, a música Rap narra a realidade, as dificuldades e os anseios de grande parte da juventude das periferias, podendo ser um agente pedagógico na construção de percepções de lugar, nas denúncias das mazelas sociais, e também como conceito estético de liberdade, que através da arte urbana cria uma identidade única que traz pertencimento e autoestima a uma geração que historicamente é atribuída valores negativos, principalmente aos jovens pertencidos à classe trabalhadora. Desta forma, será feito um percurso histórico através da formação das juventudes e da construção do movimento Hip-Hop, concluindo com a necessária inserção da arte como linguagem e elemento dialógico na construção do conhecimento.
