      In Education we can find university graduations that are not enough for become a teacher, continuing education that does not involve daily school life and government decisions that harm the entire school community, admitting teachers who were not properly graduated in their areas of practice, neglecting teaching of subjects, as is the case of the current situation of Physical Education teaching in Preschool Education in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais. In addition, the brazilian legislation that manages about Physical Education in Preschool Education leaves a lot of gaps. The present research is based on the following guiding questions: What is the function of Physical Education in Preschool Education? How has the work of Physical Education teachers in Early Childhood Education happened? In which aspects does the educational work developed by Physical Education teachers in Preschool institution instruct us about the limits and possibilities of Physical Education in the education of children in preschool space-time? What has been the relationship between the planning work of these teachers and the current legislation? Has the pedagogical work followed the school reality? This study intended to contribute to rethink about graduation and continuing education of the Physical Education teacher, to work in Preschool Education. Therefore, the present research has a qualitative nature, combining description and analysis of educational practices of a Physical Education teacher who works in Preschool institutions in Uberlândia, seeking to answer the following question: How has been developed the educational practice of Physical Education teachers in Preschool Education in the schools in Uberlândia? Finding answers to this research question implied the accomplishment of a field work involving the formulation and application of questionnaire and observation of the educational practice of a Physical Education teacher and her two classes of children with four and five years, in addition to a semistructured interview with this ...
