نبذة مختصرة : Background: Essential to medical progress, the development of primary care research is one of the current challenges in general medicine. Thesis are often the first research work carried out by students. Pedagogy around the supervision of this work is therefore booming. However, students still have difficulty carrying out this work. The main objective of this work was to explore the students' experience of thesis support tools offered by the University of Reunion.Method: A qualitative study was carried out based on semi-directed interviews with students enrolled in the third cycle of general medicine in Reunion and benefited from an analysis inspired by phenomenology. Results: The eight interviews carried out underline the evolving nature of this experience which is constructed in a temporality specific to the students and the tools at their disposal. The first stage confronts the students' emotions with the discovery of a new work. The second stage is the confrontation of the tools, where their experience is forged. The last one is the expertise of the phenomenon which allows a return on the lived experience. The students' action depends both on their needs but also on this temporality. Students have an ambivalent attitude towards the thesis work with sometimes contradictory expectations. Combined with the lack of motivation and investment in a key role, this questions the interest of students and young doctors in the scientific culture of which the thesis is the first step. ; Introduction : Indispensable au progrès médical, le développement d’une recherche en soins primaires de qualité est un des enjeux actuels de la médecine générale.
