The purpose of this article is to comprehend both the objectification and the formalization of the historical document named Alboroto y Motín de México, therefore, it is intended to emphasize the narrative focus of Don Carlos de Sigüenza y Góngora. Thus, the discursive nuances in the epistle of this erudite of New Spain are clarified, making a critique of the historiography with ethical overtones. ; El objetivo de este artículo es comprender tanto la objetivación como formalización del documento histórico nominado Alboroto y Motín de México, por ende, se pretende enfatizar el foco narrativo de don Carlos de Sigüenza y Góngora. Con ello, se explicitan los matices discursivos en la epístola del sabio novohispano, constituyendo una crítica a la historiografía de tinte ético.
