The Adoption of AI in Project Management : A study in AI’s relevancy in aeronautical project management

As the use of AI increases in the workforce, it is becoming extremely important to leverage thisnew technology to better handle projects in the aeronautics industry. AI has become increasinglycomplex and sophisticated, allowing for its use in project management. Previous researchencapsulates project management with AI, project management in aeronautics, or AI inaeronautics but not all three at once. We used data acquired from interviewing five differentindustry professionals in Deutsche Aircraft to best assess whether AI should be used in theindustry going forward or if it was unviable to this situation. AI has potential to be used in theaeronautics industry as a project management tool but it lacks maturity and trust within thecommunity. Our findings show that these professionals would enjoy this software solution if ithad security of personal data, was better optimized to disallow the dissemination of falseinformation, and would be used to supplement their own knowledge in their respective fields.
