      In the United States, 12% of women aged 15-44 years old have difficulty becoming pregnant and maintaining pregnancy. Many of these women utilize Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). ART has a failure rate of 69% in women under 35 years old. It is well known that obesity can negatively influence fertility. It is unknown if obesity has a direct effect on ART success rates. Therefore, this review focuses on the effect of body mass index on in vitro fertilization outcomes.
