نبذة مختصرة : This work is the realization of a Master\'s Degree research , belonging to the Post-graduate studies in Education at the Federal University of Uberlândia, in the line of survey entitled \"Policies and Management in Education.\" This is the work done through readings, discussions and reflections developed in the Research, Labor, Education and Society Group GPTES and have the support of the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - CAPES. The study discusses the restructuring of production in the educational sphere and its impact on teaching the public state of Minas Gerais, since 1990 when they intensify the education reforms in Brazil, particularly in Patos de Minas -MG. More specifically: to discuss the processes of proletarianization and impoverishment of the teaching regarding to the intensification of work, working conditions and control over the work process; context and restructuring of education and teaching in the scenario of globalization of the capital, especially at the national level, regarding to the educational reforms of the 1990s. The study includes literature reviews, analysis of documents such as the Federal Constitution of 1988, LDB 9.394/96, Institutional Policy Project, Career Plan, Management Plan, Resolutions, Guidelines for agencies responsible for deciding on educational policies in Brazil. Such reflections are grounded in empirical, research conducted in the city of Patos de Minas / MG. The hypothesis guiding the research is that the changes introduced in this context have led to intensification and precariousness of teaching, since the requirements of the State, in accordance with the educational reforms in Minas Gerais, have generated an increase of functions and greater control of capital over the teacher\'s work.
