    • نبذة مختصرة :
Ink and brush drawing from a handwritten copy of the anonymous text Dingchuang yaojue (Essential Art of Boils), executed in 1874 (13th year of the Tongzhi reign period of the Qing dynasty). It indicates the disease location for errong ding (tragus boil). This occurs on the fleshy, cartilaginous projection at the front of the ear ( ermen , Ear Portal). The preferred therapy is needling and opening ( tiaoci ), at locations including the Tiger's Mouth ( hukou - the area between the thumb and the index finger) and jianjing ( Shoulder Well ). If the swelling extends to the cheek and jaw, Cyrtomium rhizome ( guanzhong) , rhizome of Anemarrhena asphodeloides ( zhimu ), Chinese corktree bark ( huangbai ), etc. can be given orally.
