Stress among hospital nurses and the relation with the socio-demographics variables ; Estrés entre enfermeros del hospital y la relación con las variables sociodemográficas ; Estresse entre enfermeiros hospitalares e a relação com as variáveis sociodemográficas

The goal of this study is to analyze the influence of the social-demographic variables on the perception of the stress among hospital nurses. Based in the transactional framework of stress, this is a study of quantitative descriptive and co relational approach. The data was collected among 101 nurses of a hospital of high complexity in the municipal district of São Paulo. Bianchi Stress Inventory, Work Stress Scale and Perceived Stress Scale were used for collecting data. The results demonstrated that the nurses have a medium level of stress (average = 3,80) and the situations perceived as stressful were related to the physical environment in the unit of work, the relational aspects of the work process , the health-disease process of the patient and the organization of the work in the hospital. The statistics showed that the nurse's level of stress are related to: age(p< 0,001), time of academic training(p ; Este estudio, en base al modelo interaccionista del estrés, ha tenido como objeto investigar la influencia de las variables sociodemográficas en la percepción de dicho estrés. Se trata de un estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo y correlacional en el cual participaron 101 enfermeros de un hospital de alta complejidad del municipio de San Pablo. Para la recogida datos se utilizaron la Escala de Estrés Bianchi, la Escala de Estrés Laboral y la Escala de Estrés Percibido. Se obtuvo como resultado que los enfermeros participantes tienen niveles medios de estrés (promedio = 3,80) y que las situaciones percibidas como estresantes fueron las relacionadas al entorno físico de la unidad laboral, al proceso salud-enfermedad de los pacientes , a los aspectos relacionales del proceso laboral de enfermería y a la organización del trabajo en la institución de salud.
