نبذة مختصرة : This dissertation entitled (Part)ir: o território sonoro e a voz como diferença e articulação (the sound territory and the voice as difference and articulation) is a theoretical and practical work included in the Master’s in Multimedia Art (Audiovisuals specialization). This investigation aims to answer the following question: is the voice capable of creating a sound territory? The research has as one of its objectives the characterization of a territory defined by sound and uses, as its first core concept, the term territorialization coined by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. The second core concept of this study, devised by Brandon Labelle, is hinge. This term considers voice as a sound element with inherent contradictions. Besides, it highlights the associative ability of sound, which enables a relationship between this concept and the process of forming a territory. The artistic creation included in this research is a sound installation entitled (Part)ir. This work allows for an adequate response to the intended theoretical standpoint and explores the voice’s ability to create territory, using the discourses and the materials of the installation. Finally, it is important to mention that Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller, the colectivo 3.14, the pianist Brad Mehldau and the Portuguese writer Daniel Faria are the main artistic references that support the premises of this dissertation
