      Augmented reality has become an increasingly popular tool in different sectors of society and does not escape the educational context as it is presented as a motivating strategy that brings with it a number of advantages and possibilities. Thanks to these attributes and the increasingly common applicability of augmented reality in education, it has been very well received by teachers and students as it improves the teaching-learning process and is positioned as a powerful support tool in the classroom. This educational innovation proposal aims to design and create an application based on Augmented Reality as a didactic strategy and support tool for teaching the color code of electrical resistors associated with the concepts of electronics and electricity, is aimed at high school students in grades 6 and 7 in the city of Bogota, who are children aged between 12 and 14 years. It presents a compilation of articles and research that show the background of AR, as well as a brief contextualization of electrical resistors. A theoretical description of the phases and elements used for the development of the application based on an exploratory methodology is included, as well as a description of the activities for the application of the tool and finally the conclusions and future work are presented. ; La realidad aumentada se ha convertido en una herramienta cada vez más apetecida en diferentes sectores de la sociedad y no escapa del contexto educativo, presentándose como una estrategia motivadora que trae consigo un sinnúmero de ventajas y posibilidades. Gracias a estos atributos y a la aplicabilidad cada vez más común de la realidad aumentada en la educación, esta ha tenido gran acogida entre docentes y estudiantes, ya que mejora el proceso de enseñanza – aprendizaje y se posiciona como una potente herramienta de apoyo en el aula.
