نبذة مختصرة : The subject of values has been established as an essential purpose in teacher training since it allows promoting future teaching social responsibility. The objective of the study was to analyze the education in values perceived by the student body of Pedagogy in Physical Education (PEF) and Basic General Pedagogy (PGB) in a public university in Chile.A total of 131 male and female students participated. The CFVALMA questionnaire was applied, which measures the knowledge and strategies of transmission of values in students in training. The main results showed excellent internal consistency for the survey in general and its domains (> α=.90 and < α=.97) and general positive values for the CV domains (4.2±1.2), TV (4.1±0.9) and CHER (4.4±0.9). It was evidenced as insufficient (i) the evaluation and transmission of knowledge based on values, (ii) the teaching of values that the educational system favors and (iii) the knowledge of theories and strategies in the field of values for training. No significant differences (p<.05) were observed between the domains when comparing sex, careers and level of training. In conclusion, it is relevant that universities implement training processes that involve training in values for the sustainability of our societies. ; RESUMEN El tema valórico ha sido establecido como un propósito esencial en la formación del profesorado ya que permite promover la responsabilidad social docente futura.
