نبذة مختصرة : In an attempt to know and disseminate potential sustainable, economic and promising solutions, which can benefit from the thermal comfort of the built environment, such as popular houses, and in view of the multiple and distinct prerogatives, remarkably significant, presented by vegetation, especially when used as element of cladding the facades of buildings as a bioclimatic strategy, the objective of this research is to evaluate the thermal performance of housing of social interest covered by natural vegetation, in the municipality of Paragominas/PA. The methodology consists of a computer simulation of a standard low-income housing project, configured in two models, without and with the outer layer of vegetation, according to the criteria established by NBR 15575/2021. When comparing the models simulated on a typical summer day, the results indicated that the model with the façade covered by vegetation presents cooling in the daily internal temperature of the environment.
